Project Overview
In 2018, we successfully delivered a state-of-the-art, turnkey research and training facility for a leading agricultural research institute in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, spanning an impressive 40,000 sq. ft. Purpose-built to strengthen research and development efforts aimed at boosting rice production across South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, this facility was designed and executed to meet the highest global standards in agricultural research.
The ground floor is home to the Centre of Excellence in Rice Value Addition (CERVA), featuring modern laboratories dedicated to analytical research, milling quality, cooking quality, and sensory evaluation, complete with specialized tasting booths for grain assessment. A well-resourced library was also integrated to support ongoing research initiatives.
The first floor was designed with collaboration and learning at its core, offering flexible, technology-enabled training and lecture halls, GIS rooms, conference rooms, and dedicated meeting spaces. Thoughtfully incorporated breakout areas, including a staff lunch space, further support researcher well-being and productivity.
Our scope of work encompassed full Lab Design & Build services, covering civil interiors, MEP systems, and purpose-built modular lab furniture tailored to the specific demands of agricultural research delivering an efficient, future-ready environment that drives meaningful impact on global food security.
