Project Overview

A leading lubricants company commissioned a new R&D and testing facility at Airoli, Navi Mumbai, designed to consolidate thermal, mechanical, and environmental testing under one roof. The 4,000 sq ft laboratory zone within the broader 7,700 sq ft facility included a thermal lab, mechanical lab, hot room, and cold room — each with distinct ventilation and containment requirements driven by the solvents, base oils, and additive chemistries handled during lubricant formulation and testing.

LabGuard supplied 8 LF-Actis Series fume hoods and the supporting laboratory furniture for the facility. The LF-Actis platform was specified for its combination of containment performance, chemical-resistant work surfaces, and serviceability — important considerations in a lubricant testing environment where viscous samples, elevated temperatures, and routine solvent exposure place sustained demand on hood interiors and sash mechanisms.
